Anglerfish & Frogfish

Two species here, each in all three tiers: the White Wartskin Anglerfish (Antennarius maculatus) and the Atlantic Shaggy Frogfish. Both are ambush predators that sit still, wave a modified fin ray as a lure, and inhale whatever comes to investigate. Buy one if you want a display built around a single strange animal.

The rule that matters: an anglerfish will swallow a fish roughly its own length. Nothing you would miss belongs in the tank with it. They also feed slowly and need targeted food, so a busy community makes them starve. If you want one eating and settled before it ships, start with the quarantined version.
