Anacharis (Egeria densa)

Anacharis (Egeria densa) is the quintessential beginner plant — an incredibly fast-growing, undemanding stem covered in whorls of bright green leaves that pull nutrients from the water at a remarkable clip. It's a favorite oxygenator and algae-fighter that can be planted in substrate or simply left floating. Goldfish and many cichlids love to nibble it, too.
