Neon Green Zoanthid
Neon Green Zoanthids (Zoanthus sp.) are selected and bred specifically for a vivid, saturated green coloration that fluoresces intensely under blue and actinic lighting — to the point of looking almost artificial in photos taken under the right spectrum. The fluorescent protein response in well-lit specimens is strong enough that you can pick this morph out from across the room under reef lighting, which is exactly the point for anyone building a zoanthid garden with deliberate color blocking.
Care tracks every other zoanthid: genuinely wide tolerance for light and flow, steady spreading growth across rock once established, and a resilience to parameter swings that most other coral families don't share. They're one of the better choices for a first-time reef keeper building out an initial coral display, and equally useful for experienced reefers filling in rock surfaces or building out a dedicated softie section.
The standard palytoxin caution applies to this and every other zoanthid. Handle frags with gloves — the toxin exists in the tissue, not just on the surface — and keep tank water from splashing near your face during maintenance involving zoanthids.

Husbandry note: The neon green color is fluorescence-dependent — it shows maximally under blue-spectrum lighting (420–480nm). Under white-heavy or daylight spectrum, the same colony looks a noticeably different shade. If color is the priority, tune your lighting spectrum before adjusting PAR intensity.
